Local boats provide transport between the five inhabited islands and also offer circular trips to see seals and seabirds and Bishop Rock lighthouse, seven miles to westward.

 

 

 

 

 

During the winter months the islands are covered with narcissi and other out-of-season flowers.

 

 

 

 

 

Scilly's beaches are clean, unspolit and quiet. Thanks to a lack of pollution the sea is crystal clear.

 

 

 

 

 

Hugh Town, the capital of St. Mary's, offers all the usual amenities, pubs and restaurants with local fish and ingredients a speciality.
